We made it! Our last week is here! I can't believe how fast this year went--time really does fly! This week will be very different from from our normal schedule. Here are some things to keep in mind for the 3 days your child will attend school:
* Monday is our last FULL day of school. We will be doing our book talks, finishing up colonial Williamsburg, and watching the 5th grade show. I will be printing out a copy of the recommended book titles that the kids report on during their book reports. This is a great way to get a start on summer reading titles.
* Monday we will be cleaning out our desks--please send your child to school with an extra bag or two to help carry home extra items!!!
* Tuesday is a half day for the kids. Dismissal is at 12:05. The kids will have chance to visit the 5th grade teachers, learn a bit about next year, and ask some questions. We will then be writing a letter to the 5th grade teachers. Please keep in mind that your child will not know his/her exact teacher until class lists come out in August.
* Wednesday is our last day of school. Students that ordered yearbooks will receive them on this day. If your child did not order a yearbook, but would still like to get autographs, he/she can bring in a notebook, piece of paper, or even a shirt for people to sign. It may be helpful to have a good signing pen or marker for this day. Report cards will be given out and dismissal will be at 12:05.
* Thank you all for a wonderful year. I hope you all have a great summer break, safe travels, lots of fun, and many laughs. Be sure to keep me updated about your child's 5th grade year. I'm very proud of all of the 4th graders in our class!!!
