It's Here! Our Last Week of School!

Where did this year go???  Time really has flown by and we are now in our last week of the school year.  The students' last day is on Thursday.  This will be a full day of school.  Here is a look at the week ahead--lots of craziness and excitement as we wrap up:
* Tuesday is our Frontier Pool party.  Information will go home with your child about this trip on Monday.  Kids should come to school with their bathing suits under a regular shirt and shorts.  This will prevent us having huge amounts of kids trying to change before we leave for the bus.  We will get to the pool around 10:00 and will return to school by 2:00.
*  We will wrap up a few things with curriculum this week.  In reading, the kids will give their book talks and we will finish up novel groups.  In social studies, the kids will finish up their billboards and present their colony to the rest of the class.  In math, we will work with reflection and symmetry.  All tests are officially done for the year, however, your child may still have some homework in math to complete.
*  We will clean out our desks on Wednesday.  Please send your child with an extra bag (or 2) to collect their school materials.  We will only be keeping a pencil, pen, and some notebook paper in our desks after Wednesday.
*  Thursday is a full day of school, but our last day!  Those children that ordered year books will receive them on Thursday so that they can collect signatures.  If your child did not order a year book, then he/she can bring in some paper or a shirt to collect signatures on.  We will have time to sign with both our homeroom, as well as, with the whole school!
*  Thank you so much for your patience and help throughout this school year!  I have enjoyed being able to spend the day with your child!  This was a great class!  Have a wonderful summer and we will see you next fall-- Happy Summer!!!!
